Membership Policy
Last updated July 31, 2026
The Hut is a movement, not a company — a community of entrepreneurs, business owners, and builders supporting each other. We charge membership dues to keep it running: hosting, events, resources, and the people who maintain the community. This policy explains how those dues work.
Membership dues
Membership is GHS 25 per month, paid through Paystack via card or Mobile Money (MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, AirtelTigo Money). Dues go toward running the community — they are not a purchase of a specific product or service, and membership does not entitle you to a share of any surplus.
Age requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to become a paying member of The Hut. By confirming your age at checkout, you are certifying that you meet this requirement. We rely on this confirmation and do not independently verify age.
Renewal — no auto-charges
Membership does not auto-renew. Mobile Money doesn't support recurring payments in Ghana, so to keep things fair and consistent across payment methods, everyone renews the same way: each month, you'll see a "Pay GHS 25" button in Dashboard → Membership. Nothing is ever charged without you actively completing that payment.
Cancellation
There's nothing to cancel — simply don't make the next month's payment and your membership will lapse at the end of your paid period (plus the grace window below). No fees, no notice required.
Refunds
- Any payment: if you change your mind, contact us within 72 hours of a charge for a full refund.
- After 72 hours: payments are non-refundable, but since membership never auto-renews, you're never charged again without choosing to pay.
- Grace period: when your paid period ends, you keep access for 3 more days to renew before it lapses.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the community grows. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date above.
